Characteristic designs[]

The characteristic designs for the Turtles are just so iconic, I wanted to remake those designs on my own. For their belt buckles, I wanted to bring back the iconic initials, which represent each letter of their first names: "L" for Leonardo, "D" for Donatello, "R" for Raphael, and "M" for Michelangelo, with the buckles colored light bronze and the letters of the Turtles' first names colored gold.

Color scheme[]

For the color scheme of their skins, I had to make 'em all chartreuse-green.

Child-influenced designs[]

For their designs as toddlers, I had to take inspiration from fellow fan-artist, NamiAngel's chibi-like designs, as first shown when I made this render, which depicts Donnie as a toddler here, on May 12th, 2022.

Teenage-influenced designs[]

For the Turtles' teenage-influenced designs, I am taking inspiration from how they will appear in the upcoming 2023 CGI-animated film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, distributed by Paramount Pictures and produced by Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and at-heart "permanent teenager", Seth Rogen.

Take this current design of young adult Leonardo, for example.

Adult-influenced designs[]

For the Turtles' designs as grown-up adults, I'm taking inspiration from fellow fan-artist, Sneefee's designs of how their counterparts from the original 1990's film saga appeared in its stand-alone 4th film, TMNT, which was released in 2007.

A leak of the Turtles' adult-looking designs was first teased, when, at one point the past, (probably around January of 2022,) I had to make an early redraw of how Leonardo’s 1990's film saga counterpart appeared in the '07 TMNT film, before I had eventually moved on to how I think Leo should appear like how his counterpart from the 2003 animated series did in its 7th and final season, titled “Back to the Sewer” (as, of course, demonstrated in this redrawn screenshot of Leo, here).
